Hi, Boba!
Thank you for your tip, it's really helpful!! :)
Maybe you could help me. The point is that I want a particular part of a picture to be shown in a thumbnail. the bottom in fact. my image is 400x800 and i customized it according to your tut to 120x120, but i need only bottom, so that in css i could add hover to the upper part. is that possible to do?
thank you!

I followed your tutorial but instead of "post thumbnail" section on the right side I am getting "featured image".

I am on wordpress 3.0.

Any idea what is happening?

I start with a new theme tomorrow...I am definitely using this...it will save me some time everytime I write a post...custom fields take longer...just a few seconds but it's frustrating...

Did you make that change on line 116 in functions.php?

Or you can put this code(check bellow) on line 117 in functions.php.
add_image_size( 'post-thumb-206', 206, 206);
and then where you want to show it call it like this
the_post_thumbnail('post-thumb-206');
I'm having a small problem where I set the thumbnail width and height on the TwentyTen theme (default theme for WP 3.0) like this:

set_post_thumbnail_size(206, 206, true );

And when I set the "featured image" the cropped thumbnail is still the default 940 X 198 pixels or whatever.. I can't see what the hell I can be missing!

Hi,
This feature is very interessting!
However, I haven't find a way to add these post thumbnails by script : There should be a function like insert_the_post_thumbnail or set_the_post_thumbnail but haven't found anything...
Do you have more info about that?
